I'm incredibly excited to announce a late addition to the AgileNZ conference programme. Ben Hayman is the GOV.UK partnerships lead for the UK Government Digital Service. He is a leading figure in the government adoption of Agile in the UK, working with digital services and suppliers to extend the GOV.UK platform and complete the transition of over 300 agencies into a single domain. Ben is known for using Agile methods, open standards, open source, open thinking and a lot of energy to launch great digital services in amazingly short time scales.
Even better, Ben is a Kiwi!
He describes himself as a coder turned tech company founder and digital practitioner who has always been involved in how technology can help organisations change for the better. He gets his kicks from helping people to see how much they get out of working differently. He is a perfect addition to the conference – especially for those in government considering transforming to a better way of working.
Ben's presentation is titled “Transforming Digital Services: Agile as the mindset” and is about the way that Agile behaviour is starting to deliver the government services in the UK that people really need, saving the tax payer billions of pounds as it does so. He will explore the way that Agile can provide a basis for cultural change as much as producing better software. As an expat Kiwi, Ben has worked since the late 80's in the UK as a transformation consultant to the private and public sector along with founding his own tech and digital ventures and being an advisor to UK VC funds.
Welcome Ben!
