Great news – the AgileNZ 2014 Conference will be on September 3-4 at Te Papa in Wellington. Even better, our keynote speakers will be two globally recognised thought leaders in software delivery improvement.
It’s fantastic to have Gojko Adzic and Tobias Mayer on board and I know everyone who attends will find them hugely motivating and inspirational.
I’m sure you’ll have noticed that it’s taken some time to confirm the Conference dates this year. Things are now sorted thanks to Assurity Consulting. For the sake of transparency, it’s important that Assurity’s involvement is made clear.
Being at the heart of New Zealand’s Agile community, I care deeply that Agilists and anyone else with a vision to innovate and improve software delivery has a national Conference. Last year’s was so good it would be insane not to follow it up with something even better!
Under previous arrangements, we didn’t have certainty around a 2014 event. So, as head of Assurity’s Education business, I convinced Garth Hamilton – my boss and Assurity’s CEO – to back the Conference.
To ensure independence, I’ll be chairing a speaker selection committee made up of Agilists right across the community – including Assurity’s competitors.
I look forward to telling you more about the selection group soon, as well as how to make a submission to speak. I’ll keep you notified via Facebook and Twitter (and by email if you register).
This is a win for the community and I can’t wait to make this Conference a success. It will be brilliant to see you there. Please make a date in your diary, register your interest to attend and/or register your interest to speak.
I’ll be back in touch soon.
Thanks for your support
Edwin
